Changes

The jurisdictions that changed on this South Dakota chart are included with a plan.

  • MINA SD is BLOCKED. No official municipal rate is printed on the Municipal Tax Schedule or the Municipal Tax Chart.

Each general municipal total is the 4.2% state sales and use tax printed on the Sales and Use Tax page plus the asterisk-name municipal rate printed on the July - December 2026 Municipal Tax Schedule, and both parts are listed beside it. A bare name is municipal gross receipts tax, a separate tax shown at its own rate with no total. Monitoring and validation only.

Municipal gross receipts tax applies to the bases named in the Municipal Tax Guide. It is not part of the general municipal sales rate. Other Taxes, Special Jurisdiction taxes, and contractor's excise tax are not on this chart.

The Municipal Tax Schedule also prints taxes this chart does not list: its Other Taxes (Motor Vehicle, Sioux Falls Lodging, Telecommunication, and Tourism Tax) and its 18 Special Jurisdiction Tax rows for Cheyenne, Crow Creek, Oglala, Rosebud, Sisseton Wahpeton, Standing Rock, and Yankton Sioux. Contractor's excise tax is not listed either.

MINA SD is BLOCKED. It is not on the Municipal Tax Schedule or the Municipal Tax Chart.

The schedule has no separate rate for McCook Lake* Report under North Sioux City* 258-2.

Showing 5 of the first 5 jurisdictions. This chart has 348. The rest stay blurred until you unlock.
