Changes

The jurisdictions that changed on this Nebraska chart are included with a plan.

The local rates page prints a 5.5% Nebraska state sales and use tax. City and village totals add that rate to the local rate. The chart window is July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.

Good Life District lines are a state-rate column on the chart and are not published as jurisdiction rows. The chart says: The state rate is 2.75% for certain taxable transactions subject to sales or use tax made by an Opted-In GLD Avenue One Retailer (GLD 801-801) only. Transactions occurring within GLDs 601-601, 602-602, 603-603, 604-604, and 605-605, are taxed at 5.5%. This column is only showing the state tax rate and not Good Life District totals. Printed lines: GLD - Opted-In Avenue One Retailer state rate 2.75% (801-801, GL801); GLD - Avenue One Retailer (Who is not an Opted-In Retailer) state rate 5.5% (601-601, GL601); GLD - Nebraska Crossing Village District and inside Gretna’s City Limits state rate 5.5% (602-602, GL602); GLD - Operation Grand Island Goodlife state rate 5.5% (603-603, GL603); GLD - La Belle Vue state rate 5.5% (604-604, GL604); GLD - Kearney Good Life District state rate 5.5% (605-605, GL605).

The total is the chart's state-plus-local column. It matched the local rate in the current-quarter NER file for every published FIPS code.

The address boundary file inside the rates ZIP was not used as rates.

Rows were not compared with an earlier chart.

Good Life District lines stay in the chart footnote. They are a state-rate column, not combined jurisdiction totals.

The rates file has 5 active special jurisdiction rows. Their codes are not published as city rates.

Free preview includes Edgar. Showing 5 of 5 preview jurisdictions. This chart has 271. The rest stay blurred until you unlock.

What the type letters mean

Labels are taken from the legend printed on this chart. A letter names a tax the chart says is part of the jurisdiction rate. It is not a separate percentage.
